Acceptance of terms
By using Open Tools Library ("the Site", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Site. We may update these terms as the Site changes; continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
The service
Open Tools Library provides free tools for working with files — merging and editing PDFs, converting images, and similar tasks — that run entirely in your browser. No account is required, and there is no paid tier. We may add, change, or remove tools at any time, and while we aim for the site to be reliably available, we don't guarantee uninterrupted access.
Your responsibilities
You're responsible for the files you choose to process with our tools and for how you use the output. Specifically, you agree not to use the Site to process content you don't have the legal right to handle, or in any way that violates applicable law. You also agree not to attempt to disrupt the Site, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorization, or use automated means to abuse it (for example, scripted requests intended to overload a tool).
Intellectual property
The Open Tools Library name, logo, and site design are ours. The tools are built on open-source libraries maintained by their respective authors, used under their own open-source licenses — we don't claim ownership of those projects. You retain full ownership of any files you process using our tools; we never receive a copy of them, so there's nothing for us to claim rights over.
Advertising
We intend to support this free site with advertising (Google AdSense) and analytics (Google Analytics). Details on the cookies these involve and how to control them are in our Cookie Policy. Ads are served by Google and its partners; we don't control the specific creative shown to any individual visitor.
No warranty
The Site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We work to make every tool accurate and reliable, but we don't guarantee the output of any tool will be error-free or suitable for every use — always review important output (a signed contract, a converted legal document) before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open Tools Library and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including loss of data, loss of business, or any outcome related to a file you processed with a tool. Because every tool runs locally in your browser, we have no visibility into or control over your files, which is precisely why this limitation matters here.
Changes
We may revise these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
